The Run is a gameshow streamed live on Twitch where 2 players battle against each other in a city somewhere in the world. The city has been divided into 2 equal parts and each Player starts in their own part of the city.
During the game the players need to find and photograph different Landmarks that are positioned in the opposite part of the city than the Starting Point. To cross from one part of the city to the other, players need to cross Gates.
By passing a Gate, a player locks it. This means from that moment on, the other Player can’t pass this Gate anymore and needs to find any of the other available Gates in the city.
Players can use multiple tactics to win the game and winning or losing can be heavily influenced by their own intelligence, planning and help or hindering from Twitch chat.

How to win
A Player can win The Run by reaching the Starting Point of the other Player the quickest, but only after completing 1 of the 3 challenges. Winning is not easy and relies heavily on planning, being quick and not getting bullied by chat too much 🤣 Ways to win.
Starting point
Each player starts as far opposite as viable in the city. This can be either north to south or east to west. More about the Starting point.
Landmarks
Landmarks are special points on the map. Each Player needs to find and photograph all 3 of these Landmarks before the other player does to win The Run. More about Landmarks.
Gates
Divided around the center of the playing field there are 3 gates. A player can only cross to the other part of the city through one of these three gates. More about Gates.
Limitations
Players are limited in their movements, getting help and modes of transportation. More about Limitations.
Perks
Players have certain perks they can use during the game. These perks make it somewhat easier to play the game. More about Perks.
Rewards by chat
You as a viewer can help your favourite streamer winning The Run by donating bits or currency. This could totally change the outcome of the game! The rewards are divided into Helpful and Hindering rewards. The Hindering rewards are purposely more expensive. More about chat rewards.
Discord
Photos of Landmarks are taken and posted to Discord through a process that takes a snapshot of the stream and automatically posts that as an image to Discord. This action is triggered by viewers redeeming a Twitch Channel Points reward. Read the rules regarding posting on Discord.
